She is the most beautiful debutante in London. Her marriage takes her to the German Empire. But in the cold resplendence of Fürstenstein Castle in Lower Silesia, Daisy feels lonely and insecure. She constantly causes offence, and the stiff ceremoniousness stifles her. But does she have to put up with it? Daisy dares to make changes, charming the court and even the Kaiser. At the same time, she secretly embarks on a dangerous struggle against the misery of the poor Silesian miners. But what about her own happiness? Can she experience a love that may endanger everything she has achieved?
