Ella Carina Werner was born 1979 in Bad Oeynhausen. Her youth was so drab that in addition to seven diaries she was able to write hundreds of poems, from ballads about love to the "Ode to a dead dachshund." Today she works as a free-lance writer in Hamburg and has written, among others, for Titanic, taz and Missy. In March of 2012, she published her first book, Dances with Bellies [German: Die mit dem Bauch tanzt]. Together with Nadine Wedel, she invented Hamburg's monthly Diary Slam.
Nadine Wedel was born 1982 in Donaueschingen and has filled five diaries since then, all of them with her fountain pen from first grade. Even today she is convinced that an entry in ballpoint is bad luck. Nowadays, though, she does most of her writing at a computer: as project manager for a Hamburg publishing house. Together with Ella Carina Werner, she invented Hamburg's monthly Diary Slam.
