The early bird solves the case
Harald, Katja, Thilo, and Sabine are birdwatchers. They have already spotted one or two rare bird species in Grabenstätter Moos on Lake Chiemsee. This time, however, they come across an ornithological sensation in the nearby allotment garden settlement: a smew! And next to it – a dead body. Of all people, Eder, the arch-enemy of Harald's friend, the racing pigeon breeder Muggenhammer, lies dead in his garden. Strangled. And Muggenhammer is the prime suspect.
The birdwatchers find this solution to the case all too simple, which is why they conduct their own investigation. In the process, they not only uncover all sorts of inconsistencies in the course of events, but also bitter rivalries in the bird breeding business and few allies in the local bird lovers' association.
"Very entertaining, humorous, and you even learn something about birds on the side." — Radio Bremen, Anja Goerz
