A lively journey through 70 years of the women's movement

What we understand today as the women's movement was actually a diverse group of associations and individuals who often acted in opposition to one another. Bianca Walther tells the story of the early struggle for women's rights through its protagonists, from the disappointed daughters of the 1848 revolution to the introduction of women's suffrage. This book is a journey through seven decades of the women's movement, a portrait of the courageous and combative “Women of Yesteryear” – and an inspiration for the struggles we must fight today.

Hedwig Dohm, Minna Cauer, Helene Lange, Clara Zetkin, and many more: With verve and ethusiasm Bianca Walther tells the story of the great protagonists of the women's movement.
