On a mountain pasture high above an idyllic Alp spa town, farmer Ganshagel finds the body of a woman. Detective Inspector Jennerwein investigates, but no one knows the "faceless woman." No one in the town admits to any knowledge of secret meetings on the meadow, either, and the mayor is worried about how the situation will look to his Bollywood business associates. Finally, the retired husband-and-wife undertakers Grasegger give the inspector a clue: the woman is well-known in her line of work as "Mother Superior," a feared contract killer. But who has managed to kill her? When another meadow-murder is committed, fear runs rampant in the spa town and a mysterious painter may be next. Jennerwein and his team have to go right to the thick of things...
