Telling It Like It Is: Reporting at the Limits in a Time of War

"The warmth with which she speaks the truth, even when it is dreadful, is what makes her so special." Süddeutsche Zeitung

The most personal book by the renowned ZDF special correspondent and SPIEGEL bestseller author

She speaks with the Taliban, accompanies Ukrainian soldiers at the front, and tells the stories of courageous women in Afghanistan who teach in underground schools.

Katrin Eigendorf is on the ground where the world is shaking. These are existential, often painful encounters with people whose stories the reporter shares. Reporting on war can only be done from close proximity, from firsthand experience and empathy. With great compassion and accuracy, she makes even complex issues understandable. Through this, she provides us with diverse perspectives that do not leave us powerless but instead offer guidance in an increasingly complex world situation.
