A Good Dough Everyday

  • Two sisters, one patisserie and vive La France
  • They are as different as night and day - and can learn a lot from each other
  • Told from two perspectives with French flair

Henriette has everything under control - until she loses her job. Now she is left with a full bank account, but her life feels empty. She visits her sister Charly, who takes everything lightly. But a surprise awaits Henriette in the small town south of Paris: Charly is staying with an older man with whom she wants to open a patisserie. Henriette has to help her, otherwise the endeavour will end in disaster. But she slowly begins to doubt whether her path is the only right one. Her sister may be a slob who can't make shortcrust pastry... but why is she still so much happier than Henriette?

Lucie Beaumont

Lucie Beaumont is a German author whose life has been closely interwoven with the "Grande Nation" since early childhood. She grew up right next to the French border and later studied in Aix-en-Provence, among other places. She is particularly fond of patisserie: to this day, she presses her nose against the shop windows of confectioners because she can't get enough of éclairs and madeleines.
