Prof. Dietrich Grönemeyer, one of Germany’s most famous doctors, is the current chair of Radiology and Microtherapy at the University of Witten/Herdecke. In 1997 he founded the Grönemeyer Institute for Micro-Therapy, an organisation with an interdisciplinary outlook in Bochum. He has been the head of the Ruhr Scientific Forum e.V. for many years, and has earned the title "Honoured Citizen of the Ruhrgebiet" for his part in the modernisation of the region. As a doctor, scientist and author, Dietrich Grönemeyer is one of the most influential champions of an approach to medicine situated between high-tech and traditional methods.
